Which power supply belongs to my magnifying lamp?
A power supply goes missing or gives up – and then comes the question of which replacement fits. The specification is on the rating plate on the device, but it is printed small there. Here you will find the values collected in one place.
Assignment by model
| Model | Voltage | Current | Power |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7213GR-MKIII | 20 V | 600 mA | 10 W |
| 7215GR-MKIII | 20 V | 600 mA | 10 W |
| 8215 | 20 V | 600 mA | 10 W |
| 8515 | 24 V | 500 mA | 12 W |
| 6803 | 20 V | 300 mA | 6 W |
Assignment by series
| Series | Power supply | Lens |
|---|---|---|
| 721X | 20 V / 0.5 A | 127 mm |
| 821X | 20 V / 0.5 A | 127 mm |
| 851X | 24 V / 0.5 A | 152 mm |
Caution with the 851X series: it runs on 24 V, all the other series named here on 20 V. The plugs look identical – mixing up the power supply is therefore a realistic mistake.
How to find the rating plate
The plate sits on the lamp housing or on the arm and carries the model designation, voltage, current and power – for example "Magnifying lamp 7215GR-MKIII, 20V 600mA 10W LED". If you are unsure: photograph the plate and send us the picture, we will identify it.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use a universal power supply?
In principle yes, provided the voltage and the polarity are correct and the current is at least the value on the rating plate. But note: operation with a third-party power supply is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty, and a power supply with too high a voltage destroys the electronics.
What do MKII and MKIII mean?
They are generations of the design. The essential difference concerns exactly this topic: in the MKII the transformer sits inside the device, the MKIII has a separate power supply. An MKII model therefore has no external power supply that could be replaced.
My model is not in the table.
Send us the model designation or a photo of the rating plate – we will tell you the values and whether we have the matching power supply in stock.
